Ciężkie miopatii, w tym rabdomiolizy z ostrą niewydolnością nerek, wtórne myoglobinuria, zgłaszane rzadko z zastosowaniem inhibitorów reduktazy HMG-coa. W miopatii może być zależne od dawki i charakteryzuje się ból mięśni i/lub osłabienie w połączeniu ze wzrostem fosfokinaza kreatynowa (CPK), powyżej 10 razy górna granica normy.
